Default Survivor Question

I have a quick, rather 'noob', question on the Survivor Title track. I have been playign for a while and never really bothered to make an R3 Survivor. I'm curious, as I made this character a Ritualist, if that final cutscene of Vazunah Square mission counts as a death? I noticed on Wiki it had said that some of the 'scripped' cutscene deaths have been known to count towards the deaths. I just wanted to check to see if this specific mission cutscene may or may not jeopardize the title.

Thank you all in advance.

The 'forced' death during the cut scene isn't meant to count, and from personal experience, doesn't count as a death. In the past there have been reports of people gaining a death during that cut scene, possibly due to being mauled by their own minions, possibly due to Shiro... it should be safe.

It happened to me some weeks ago, i got from 0 deaths to 1 death after the cutscene...so i definitely wouldn't run the risk

i don't know if you log off suddenly just as soon as the cutscene starts, if you would get the death or not, though..

Yeah, that is what I afraid of. I was thinking maybe skipping the cutscene or something along those lines, but you never do know with the second group. I might just 'avoid' it for now at least. Thank you very much guys.

i've done that misison with 2 different survivors and didn't get a death from it, however i did recieve a death on the second survivor cause i didn't realize losing in a game of polymock counted as one.

Other players can screw you over in the following way:

Enemies are still alive when cutscene is triggered +
someone in your party does not skip the sutscene +
enemies decide to beat on you while long-winded cutscene is happening +
you lose your remaining health before you have control of your character again.

The above scenario can happen in many cutscenes in the game. The first place I encountered it was in Prophecies in one of the desert missions... the one with the vision crystal and the minotaurs near the ghost.

The cinematic death from shiro does NOT count. Getting killed by a remaining hostile spirit during a cutscene DOES count.

yes it is best to avoid that mission until you have completed your title just to be sure!
(I avoided it and then when I maxed survivor I made sure that I was the only real person doing that mission and skipped the cutscene).

Ive never gained a death from it and done it on 8-10 survivors (not all reached legendary but thats for different reasons).

Do it by urself, as soon as u kill the mob start hitting escape and you'll skip the cutscene.

The other thing is if you do it first, then ur not too far into ur surv so its not as big a loss if for somereason u get glitched.

Actually, that's a good advice IMHO, if you first off do that mission (as soon as you can after creating your wannabe survivor), and you don't die, you unlock a lot of other missions/quests in Cantha worth a lot of xp.

Agree with the others, I've always skipped that cutscene on my Survivors, just not willing to risk the 'bug'.

Offtopic - Just one thing, before moving on to the next mission (Nahpui Quarter).
If you have the Prophecies campaign, it's a good idea (for Survivors) to make the journey to Tyria, fight your way to and then through the Desert missions in order to do the Augury Rock mission. This gives you 50k xp you would otherwise miss out on if your character is already Ascended.

Cheers

If you do vizunah with friends (i mean syncing, so there are your friends on both sides) you should be fine with the final cutscene as long as everybody skips it (and since they are your friends, you can tell them to). You can't be as sure as this, instead, if you do that mission alone, and you end up playing with someone on the other side who doesn't resign.

Its NM, and its not a hard mission, duck into NF, grab the heroes, and grab Olias as well.

MM + SoS w/ party support + RoJ smite or dedicated heal support if your scared and youll destroy everything. Most people are pretty good at skipping cutscenes if you ask, if not as soon as the spear/axe/shield/watever thing pops up saying masters or watever alt + f4 and u should be aright.

Other option, go in deadtime and get noone on the other side
